Berri Barmera Council is seeking a strategic and community-minded General Manager to lead its Infrastructure, Environment and Regulatory Services portfolio. This executive leadership role offers the opportunity to shape the future of the region through sustainable infrastructure, environmental stewardship and effective regulatory services.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the General Manager will oversee a diverse team and drive excellence across planning, building, environmental health, waste management, asset management, and capital projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead strategic infrastructure and regulatory service delivery
• Oversee capital projects, asset management and environmental health
• Drive innovation, compliance and continuous improvement
• Foster a high-performance culture and support professional development
• Represent Council in key stakeholder and community relationships

About you:

You are an experienced executive with a strong background in infrastructure, planning, or regulatory services, ideally within Local Government. You bring strategic thinking, people leadership, and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to influence across diverse stakeholders. Your knowledge of governance, WHS, and capital project delivery will be key to your success.
