Global insurance firm is seeking a highly motivated 4-7 year defendant insurance Associate or Senior Associate with broad expertise across general insurance to join a developing and growing Insurance practice of a global firm, working primarily with two specialists in this space.
 
Acting for a mix of insurers and reinsurers in the Asia Pacific and London markets, you will have the opportunity to become involved in a broad mix of high-level insurance work including but not limited to:
 

• Drafting coverage advice & advising on risk – some of which will be multi-jurisdictional.
• Act on professional indemnity, D&O & financial lines matters on behalf of a number of professionals including accountants, financial advisors, construction & design professionals and brokers;
• Acting on multi-million dollar disputes across the APAC region; as well as
• Assisting the Partners on cyber work as this practice grows.

The candidate will possess the following skills:

• A minimum of 4-7 years PAE gained within a top-tier, national or well-regarded insurance law firm;
• Expertise in general insurance work including exposure to either professional indemnity or financial lines as a minimum.
• Strong academic record with a strategic approach.
• Keen interest in business development, marketing & client events;
• Excellent interpersonal, drafting and technical skills; and
• Ability to manage and run your own caseload of files autonomously whilst mentoring and guiding more junior members of the team.
