Apply: Experience Designer (Mobile App)

This position requires an expert in native app design and will relied upon to deliver search, sign in, security, service wireframes, prototypes, requirements, QA and support of the build.

More features will be designed and built over the next 12 months and the role is required throughout that time to design the experience and work with developers to build it.

This is an inital 12 month fix term contract likely to go permanent with a salary of $130 - $150K + super.
 
The role:
  • Work with XD Program Lead or XD Design Lead to execute on program deliverables to achieve desired business outcome
  • Produce XD design deliverables. This may include, but is not limited to, sketches, scenarios, storyboards, journey maps, wireframes, UI flows, paper prototypes, interactive prototypes, etc
  • Provide on-demand rationale to support design decisions which include experience design principals and rationale for design decisions
  • Document design assets and clear annotations for passing down the delivery chain.
  • Participate in project meetings (e.g. daily stand ups), and other agile rituals as required
 
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of customer centred design experience with a focus on digital and end-to-end experience design
  • Expert in native app design
  • 2+ years in a design role across both agencies and in-house
  • 2+ years’ experience in design research and/or being at the coalface of prototyping and testing designs with customers
  • Demonstrated expert proficiency with using design tools such as Sketch, Axure and Invision
  • Experience in financial services, or similar industry, in a hands-on design role
  • Clear understanding of how to turn design research into tangible, actionable design outcomes
  • Experience working in design projects with multi-disciplinary co-located teams
  • Experience working in an agile delivery environment
