The position:
Head Vet – sure has a nice ring to it! Head Veterinarians are the leaders in PETstock Vet hospitals and combine clinical expertise and management skills to lead the practice to success.  But don’t worry – you’re not expected to be perfect at everything all at once. Our Support Office is staffed entirely by vets and vet nurses who can guide and coach you on all elements of this position and set you up for success.
 
What we are looking for:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience
  • Excellent team relationship skills
  • Flexible and adaptable within a team environment
  • Basic pathology skills are a must - we do them in house
  • Must be keen to learn
  • Working 4 - 5 days a week including some Saturdays

Mandated Vaccination Directive - Victoria
As you are aware, we are currently under directive by the Acting Chief Health Officer – all Authorised Workers, are required to be vaccinated in line with the mandated dates - 1st dose by Fri 15 Oct (appointment booked to obtain by 22 Oct)/Fully vaccinated by Fri 26 Nov.  We as a business fall into this category of Authorised Workers.

Please Note:  We appreciate an individual’s choice on whether to become vaccinated, however in line with the directive from the  Acting Chief Officer, we will be unable to proceed with any applicants who choose at this time to not be vaccinated.  If you do become vaccinated, by the above dates & you are successful in gaining a role with PETstock, we’re required to collect, record & hold copies of the vaccination info or if you have an exemption, written evidence from a medical practitioner – your records will be housed in a secured database where only limited team will have access to, in order to show compliance
