Job Title: Application Support Analyst
Job Type: Permanent/ Full-time
Location: North Sydney, NSW
Flexible work arrangements with 3-4 days working from home and 1-2 days at our office in North Sydney (Post Lockdown)
The Application Support Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day monitoring and support of scheme critical services and processes to ensure smooth functioning of the end-to-end solution.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily monitoring and healthcheck tasks
Prioritise activities to support the day-to-day service delivery
Perform reviews and update of support tickets including effectively documenting customer issues and updating in a timely manner
Liaise with Clients, Vendors and internal development teams to troubleshoot software and/or system configuration issues to identify and provide solutions
Investigate and troubleshoot issues. Assist in investigation of any issues related to the systems
Co-ordinate system maintenance including but not limited to patching and upgrades on a regular basis.
Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures documentation including audit requirements
Database related querying and data extraction
Provide a high standard of customer service and are not afraid to take ownership of support issues and to ‘go the extra mile’ to succeed.
Actively participate in Service Transition activities of new and changed development for Operational sustainability
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in application support in complex environments (min 4-5 year experience)
Software development hand on experience preferred specifically Java, Angular and Springboot
Display a strong desire to learn and to share that knowledge with colleagues, through documentation and training, capitalizing on the opportunity to become a ‘Product Champion’ for your team
High level of problem-solving skills to handle complex software and interface support issues
Extremely high accuracy and attention to detail
Great interpersonal & communications skills
Ability to be flexible to meet changing work conditions
Proven experience supporting Web based applications
Understanding of SQL and Databases (preferably Oracle)
Experience in working with integrated systems
Resilience, agility and an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
Experience with ERP and financial systems desirable
Desirable to have experience with PaaS software and Point of Sale systems
Experience with JIRA/Confluence or similar systems
