FutureYou are partnering with a leading Top 10 accounting firm in Melbourne CBD that is looking to grow their leading Corporate Tax team by adding an experienced Manager to their senior leadership group.

The team currently has 8 partners and 100 staff in Melbourne, and work closely with their national client portfolio across Australia. The partners are down to earth and supportive, and encourage a healthy work/life balance.
 
Description

Job duties include;
  • Liaising directly with clients and managing your own client base
  • Liaising directly with both Partners whilst being given freedom and responsibility to get on with the role
  • Preparation of complex tax models, tax consolidations, tax effective notes, corporation tax returns/compliance, public company tax
  • Preparation of tax returns and review of financial statements for corporations, companies, trusts and individuals
  • You will cover all areas of compliance as well as tax planning & tax advisory and other value-add services
  • You will eventually be responsible for business development through building strong relationships with your own clients

Profile

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should have:
  • Completed CA or CPA 
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Corporate Tax and/or Tax Consulting
  • Ideally coming from another Mid-Tier or Big4 environment 
  • Strong Tax Effect Accounting experience
  • Ability to apply technical corporation taxation knowledge to relevant issues
  • Ability to investigate and utilise changes in current tax laws/legislations
  • Ability to mentor and train junior staff
