The Brief

The Role:

Our Client is a global Investment Manager, seeking a Head of Compliance based in Japan to be responsible for updating Compliance processes and internal control and Governance framework, in line with prevailing regulations. Oversight on marketing queries and compliance activities will be expected as well.
You will be reporting directly to the APAC Head of Compliance, based in Singapore, as well as a dotted line reporting to Japan-based Directors. Experience with regulatory advisory and reporting, as well as implementation of AML policies will be advantageous.

Key Requirements
You will:

• Have at least 8+ years of relevant working experience within the asset or investment management space, with strong regulatory compliance knowledge
• Have experience working directly with regulators such as the FSA, KFB, JIAA, and T2fifa .
• Be familiar with regulations pertaining to Type II businesses and Japan FIEA laws
• Be highly independent, proactive and have excellent communication skills. International exposure will be an added advantage.
• Bilingual language skills a must
