About the Team
The People & Culture team supports the Agency staff and managers throughout their employment.
The Workplace Integrity team deals with complex employee matters, including:
  • Code of Conduct investigations
  • Reviews of Action
  • External employment matters (such as Fair Work matters)
The team provides advice on legislation, policies and employee relations issues.

About the Role

The Agency is seeking an experienced HR professional to join the Workplace Integrity team within a Federal Government environment.
This role focuses on managing complex and sensitive employee matters, including investigations and workplace conduct issues. The position provides high-level advice on employment legislation, policies and enterprise agreements, and supports leaders in handling complex people matters.
The role operates in a fast-paced environment and requires strong judgement, professionalism and the ability to manage confidential issues independently.

Key Responsibilities
 
  • Provide advice on APS HR legislation, policies and enterprise agreements
  • Conduct Code of Conduct investigations
  • Manage Reviews of Action under the Public Service Act
  • Handle external employment matters in collaboration with Legal teams
  • Assess risks and determine appropriate action in complex people matters
  • Review and contribute to HR policy development
  • Analyse case data and prepare reports for senior executives
  • Support team coordination and planning activities

You Must Have
  • Experience conducting workplace investigations
  • Strong case management skills
  • Knowledge of APS legislation and public sector HR frameworks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Confidence managing difficult conversations
  • High ethical standards and professionalism
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Benefits:
  • ASAP start (pending Federal Police Clearance)
  • Assignment end date: 31st December 2026 with potential extension
  • Location:  Nationwide
  • $602.55 daily + Super
