We are seeking a Town Maintenance Officer – Plant to support the maintenance and upgrade of key town assets while ensuring safe, high‑quality operations across the Shire of Ashburton.
This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating plant, and contributing to the presentation and functionality of community spaces.
About the Role You will be responsible for the maintenance and upgrade of:
  • Parks and gardens
  • Public spaces and facilities
  • Roads and associated infrastructure
  • Minor plant and equipment
The role also supports waste services as required and includes occasional travel to other Shire towns.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • A current MR or HR driver’s licence
  • Plant operator certificates
  • Experience operating and maintaining plant and equipment
  • A strong commitment to safety and quality work
  • The ability to work outdoors in a regional environment
