Apply: Senior Group Accountant

We are currently looking for a Senior Group Accountant to join a leading ASX listed business who offer unparalleled career progression and an excellent work culture. This role, while technical in nature, will require the successful candidate to partner closely with the business as they model the commercial impact of regulatory changes and how to maximise the companies position through a thorough understanding of ASX and IFRS standards. You will be heavily involved in Forecasting and budgeting cycle's on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis as well as analysing results at a group level.

This role would suit a candidate looking to make there first move from practice or a 2nd mover looking to take a step up in responsibility and commercially.

Duties

• Prepare monthly forecast and yearly budget 
• Review the monthly Divisional forecast submission; working closely with divisional heads to analyse variance
• Preparation of Executive presentation 
• Preparation of Group monthly flash report
• Preparation of Group monthly consolidation and analysis
• Prepare Group yearly reporting timetable 
• Statutory pack maintenance for half and year-end reporting periods including reporting instructions 
• Prepare adhoc financial analysis as requested by Senior Management
• Provide accounting technical support to divisions

Candidate Requirements

•  CA/CPA qualified (ideally having trained in a top 10 practice)
•  Experience auditing or working in an ASX listed business
•  Excellent understanding of Financial reporting standards
•  Proven stakeholder management experience
