One of the leading International Water Technologies companies is expanding their headcount in Singapore as they have strong projects in the pipeline. They are looking for an experienced engineer from the water/wastewater treatment project background who is strong in Mechanical & Process design to be part of their growing Singapore team working with both local and regional teams within the company. Solidworks & AutoCAD capabilities is mandatory for this opportunity.

Responsibilities of Senior Mechanical & Process Engineer (Water/Wastewater)

• To lead the process and mechanical design of the assigned projects while working efficiently with colleagues across the different teams (Proposal, Project & Operation, Piping, E&IC, O&M, etc).
• Must ensure the timely submissions/approvals of the designs and quality of work while also ensuring the designs are optimized for the cost and timely completion.
• Prepare and review the project documentation including PFD, P&ID, General Arrangement, Equipment – Calculations / Datasheets / Specifications, BOQ, BOM, RFQ packages, GA & Manufacturing drawings, Operation & Maintenance Manuals and skid with piping integration drawings etc.
• Prepare and review equipment designs & specifications - Pressure Vessel, Heat Exchanger, Tank, Tower, Pump, Blower, Skids, Piping, Valves etc.
• Be able to troubleshoot and provide necessary solutions for the technical issues related to process design and engineering.
• Maintain a good working relationship with outside vendors and purchasing to select and establish equipment component specifications, material take-offs, requisitions and vendor orders while coordinating cost control, project schedule and manufacturing efforts.

 
Requirements of Senior Mechanical & Process Engineer (Water/Wastewater)

• Bachelor / Diploma of Mechanical Engineering with min. 8years of progressive experience in the design & engineering of water/wastewater treatment plants
• Water / Wastewater, Pharmaceutical, Hazardour Chemicals and/or Oil & Gas systems experience.
• Solidworks & AutoCAD experience is required for efficient use of weldment and pipe routing segments to produce/review mechanical design, fabrication and assembly drawings.
• Holds good knowledge of international design standards: ASME, ASTM, ISO, API, BS, DIN, HTRI etc.
• Experienced in selecting and reviewing the instrumentation and control designs incl. Control Valves, Process analyzers and transmitters for Datasheet, Calculation and Drawings
• Experienced in preparing and reviewing control documentation – IO List, Control Philosophy, Control Narrative, Cause & Effect Diagram, Alarm and Interlock Table etc.
• Must have experience in process fluid piping design, related components and materials of construction, e.g. small/large bore piping, pumps, heat exchangers, valves and instrumentation.
