Role:
The Assistant Vice President (AVP) plays a key role within Transformation Office that drives technology development projects across our client. The successful candidate will lead a team of transformation managers to procure and manage cross-functional technology development projects from initiation to completion. He/she will partner the stakeholders from the operation business units and IT Project Management Office. He will collaborate with the development project teams to drive successful technology development projects. The AVP will also be leading innovation projects under the People vertical to drive efficiency and productivity.


Job Responsibilities:

Transformation Project Governance and Innovation

• Support the Transformation Office strategic goals in driving transformation and innovation across the group.
• As a key member of the innovation team, lead in the People vertical to drive reinforcement of the value proposition for delivering innovation and digital transformation to achieve efficiencies and productivity.
• Provide guidance to team members and lead in innovation projects and may include the organizing of special interest groups, organizing of innovation forum and exhibitions.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive successful project development and deployment.
• Advocate and evangelize innovation mindset across the organization. Ensure compliance to project management and procurement processes.

Technology Development Projects Management

• Project management technology development projects.
• Ensure the successful initialization, planning, budgeting, procurement, risk management, contract management and reporting.
• Responsible for IT development contract management throughout project lifecycle and work with IT and procurement team to resolve any vendor issues.
• Collaborate with the project teams, IT project management office, planning team, central procurement team to ensure the successful execution of technology packages and contract management.
• Establish metrics, targets and review mechanism to measure project success and ensure the successful execution of projects in meeting the KPis.

People Management

• Manage and lead Transformation Project Managers and Outsource Desktop IT support personnel.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to the team members to ensure good team work that drives the successful delivery of the projects.

 
Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant field
• At least 10 years of relevant working and project management experience preferably in the system integrator environment or technology group, with strong vendor and contract management experience.
• Ability to understand business requirements, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with all levels of end-users to provide technical/functional support
• Analytical and Meticulous
