About the role

Maxima’s valued client in the Northern Suburbs is seeking an experienced Library Technician to join their team on a temporary basis. This role engages with the back-end operations of the library service, including cataloguing and collections. The hours and days of work are flexible.
The length of the role is expected to be 8 weeks initially, with the potential for extension.
Key duties include, but are not limited to:

Working rostered shifts on the circulation desk
Assisting with collection maintenance and development.
Cataloguing new and existing library stock according to library policies.
Assisting with promotion of library services, programs and activities.

About You

Previous experience as a Library Technician, or similar role within library services
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Confident using Onecard and Symphony LMS
Exceptional communication and customer service skills
Passion for learning and library and community services
Diploma of Library and Information Services is desirable, but not essential
National Police Check and Working with Children Check, or willing to obtain
ALIA Accreditation is a plus
