A statutory agency operating on a national platform, our client is concerned with the impact of certain practices on the Australian Public.

Description 

As the People & Culture Adviser, you will work closely with the Assistant Director to support an active HR program of work fostering an engaged, expert and agile culture.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of a suite of key Human Resource (HR) functions/policies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Office-wide initiatives to build and maintain a positive and respectful workplace culture.
  • Assist with end to end recruitment actives including
  • Review and development of position descriptions against Integrated Leadership System
  • Advertising position descriptions
  • Panel support and advice
  • Induction program
  • Engagement with recruitment agencies
  • Assist with HR reporting and compliance obligations
  • Provide advice and guidance to staff in relation to the Enterprise Agreement, various HR policies, cultural issues and a range of other people focused initiatives.
  • Provide secretariat support to HR Forums.
  • Other duties as required.

Profile

To be successful in this application, you will have held a similar position within a commonwealth agency and have the following skills and attributes:

  • Business partnering experience
  • Demonstrated HR reporting experience
  • Government experience, ideally Commonwealth
  • Strategic thinker
  • Results focused 
  • An innate ability to build and support productive working relationships
  • Displays personal drive and integrity in alignment with organisational values
  • Communicates with influence
