Apply: Risk and Compliance Senior Manager - Asset Management

Ethos BeathChapman have been engaged to recruit a Risk and Compliance Senior Manager role for a top-tier Asset Manager. In this front-facing, highly influential role you will guide and partner with the business on Financial Risks, Operational Risk, Compliance obligations and regulatory change. This organisation is on the cusp of major growth  with international expansion and M&A activities part of this role's remit. The ideal candidate will have experience within a well-capitalised fund manager and thrives on daily front office interaction. This is a unique opportunity to engage with the executive team to drive a forward-thinking approach to Risk Advisory and embark on promising fund raising activities.

Role and responsibilities;

• Support strategy by assisting with the implementation of a risk and compliance management framework
• Support senior management and Executive teams in providing a robust 'three lines of defence' model and commercially focused advice
• Develop and refine policies, processes and efficient financial and operational risk management systems
• Assist with high-level, value-add reporting to management and Board committees on the new business activities and their risk profiles
• Spearhead effective risk forums and encourage a healthy risk culture

This influential role will suit a seasoned Risk technician with a passion in the international and domestic funds sector. A minimum of 8 years experience within Audit or Risk management will be considered. In terms of personality and style, our client looks for thought leadership, autonomy, and polish. The barriers to entry are high and outstanding communication and influencing skills will be expected. Australian working rights essential.
