The Organisation:

Our client is a reputable provider of FX, International Payments and Financial Risk Management Solutions to mid-markets (SME) clients. You will be joining a growing Compliance team in this broad and diverse role, supporting the Head-of in all facets of AML and regulatory compliance related duties. 


The Responsbilities: 
  • Monitor initial and ongoing KYC requirements and Customer ID Verification Procedures
  • Assessment and approval of account applications across different customer types and jurisdictions
  • Review account activities through the transaction monitoring system, perform risk based reviews and  investigate any suspicious payments received
  • Respond to 'Request For Information' received from Banking Partners on client backgrounds in a timely manner
  • Assist with the review and redraft of disclosure documents, pertinent to AML, AFSL, OAIC obligations
  • Assist with complaints management and resolution
  • Build relationships with sales teams across Australia and provide regulatory advice and guidance
  • Comprehend changes in regulations and the impact on the business, an assist in developing and providing overall compliance strategies, policies and trainings
  • Acting as an internal SME on all regulatory obligations; and escalate matters to the AMLCO and Head of Compliance, as required
 
 About You:
  • 2-3 experience working in a compliance role in Financial Services (preferably in Australia)
  • Good understanding of the Australian Financial Services environment especially the area of, AFSL Obligations, Privacy, Complaints Management and AML/CTF/Financial Crime
  • Strong ability to understand legal and regulatory requirements and to apply them to business practices
  • Strong analytical, attention-to-detail, and problem-solving skills
  • Works independently & productively in a fast-paced and evolving environment
  • Tertiary qualified (industry-relevant certificates preferred)
