Description
 
Due to an internal promotion, Boston Scientific has partnered with FutureYou to find a new Head of IT to join their diverse and inclusive business. You will lead and motivate a dedicated team and drive efficiencies through the use of technology. This leadership role is accountable for end-to-end IT delivery and support for the ANZ business, which includes applications, infrastructure and projects and will be working in a matrix global environment. You will partner strategically and tactically with Leadership members across the business. You will ensure that all system and related management processes meet and adhere to compliance and regulatory requirements.
 
You will be responsible for:
 
  • Developing and implementing the ANZ IT strategy, ensuring it is aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Partner with ANZ leadership to understand business opportunities, threats, needs and issues where the IT organisation can make an impact and bring forward practical and innovative solutions and keep abreast of technology trends
  • Lead and develop the ANZ IT team, ensuring alignment and clarity of the IT roadmap
  • Partner with the global and regional IT teams to ensure there is an alignment and leverage the global IT strategy and solutions to advance ANZ IT capability
  • Translate IT strategy into medium term and short-term goals and drive execution of goals through the leadership of the ANZ IT team
  • Provide project management for on-going and future initiatives to support the ANZ business needs
  • Oversee the health and technical longevity of existing applications and infrastructure
  • Develop and manage the IT budget against the Annual Operating Plan
  • Contribute to the Improvement of core technical services and support for infrastructure and applications
  • Manage the relationship and agreements with third party suppliers
  • Ensure global IT governance and compliance processes are adhered to

Profile
  • Boston Scientific is seeking an exceptional IT professional with demonstrated experience collaborating with matrix teams, including Marketing, Sales, functional areas and IT to implement technology solutions that enhance the consumer value associated with products and improve processes
  • Bachelor’s degree; Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience in a leadership role managing teams
  • Experience in managing and working within an agile environment and working with enterprise software platforms
  • Proven experience in setting the direction and strategy within a team
  • Proven experience conceiving and delivering innovative solutions leveraging technology and information
  • Experience with, and a comprehensive knowledge of financials, contract management, business processes and project management
  • The ability to align key stakeholders and influence business outcomes
