Position: Leasing Coordinator

Location: Logan

Employment Type: Mon – Fri, 38 hrs a week until Jan 2026 with possibility of extension

Payrate:  $61/hr + super

Maxima is currently seeking a highly motivated individuals as a Leasing Coordinator for one of our government clients.

As a Leasing Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in providing expert legal advice and guidance to the client and their branch on all leasing and tenure-related matters. You will lead and coordinate a team, oversee a portfolio of properties and develop policies for effective leasing management.

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Lead and provide expert legal advice on the preparation, execution and maintenance of leases, licences and tenure agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, the Land Act 1994 and other relevant legislation.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures and guidelines for managing community and sports facility leases.
  • Coordinate the development of leasing precedents and prepare reports for senior leadership.
  • Ensure the accuracy and currency of leasing data within the systems and lead compliance audits.
  • Provide guidance and support to tenants regarding compliance with lease terms and conditions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with lessees, community organisations and other stakeholders.
  • Supervise and lead the leasing team, managing budgets and expenditures in line with guidelines.
  • Support health and safety initiatives and perform additional duties as required.

What We’re Looking For:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in law.
  • Experience in Property or Commercial Law, ideally with local government.
  • Membership to the Queensland Law Society
  • A current C-class driver’s licence.
  • Previous experience in community facilities and leasing management (desirable)
