This Big 4 Bank are looking for someone to join their application security team on a permanent basis as a Security Consultant. They are looking for someone who is equally capable in a hands-on role as they are consulting with multiple business units. You will be involved a lot of project work and look for improvements to be made to ensure the business is secure. 

About the role
As a Security Consultant, you will:
  • Investigate weak points within an applications design and implementation and work alongside developers to communicate the issue effectively 
  • Work alongside developers to educate them on how to build secure software 
  • Conduct secure code reviews of present and past work and identify vulnerabilities 
  • Implement the automation of security testing to perform at scale 

Essential Skills and Experience 
As a Security Consultant, you will have: 
  • Excellent knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and SANS25
  • Large enterprise development experience with one of: C++, C, C#, Java, xCode, Android, SQL
  • Large enterprise development experience with build tools and source control systems 
  • Experience with Source Code Security Tools such as HP Fortify, IBM AppScan, etc.
  • Excellent automation experience and scripting knowledge 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
