Join our Resident Site Staff team in Macau and play a key role in the delivery of major civil and structural projects. This position is responsible for carrying out site inspections, monitoring workmanship and construction quality, witnessing tests, and ensuring works are executed in accordance with contractual and technical requirements.

Responsibilities

Conduct site inspections for civil, structural and geotechnical works.
Inspect reinforcement, formwork and structural elements prior to concreting.
Monitor excavation, backfilling and foundation works on site.
Verify that materials and workmanship comply with project specifications and approved method statements.
Witness site tests including concrete, rebar, compaction and load tests.
Record inspection findings and identify defects or non-conforming works.
Follow up and verify completion of remedial and rectification works.
Monitor site progress and report issues to the Resident Engineer.
Check construction works against approved drawings, specifications and relevant standards.
Maintain site diaries, inspection records, reports and photographic documentation.
Assist the Resident Engineer and project team in site supervision and quality assurance activities.

Requirements

Diploma, Higher Diploma or above in Civil/Structural Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 10 years' relevant site supervision and inspection experience.
Extensive experience in civil, structural, foundation and geotechnical works.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, quality control procedures and site inspection requirements.
Experience in concreting works, excavation and lateral support, foundations and structural construction.
Experience in Macau projects would be an advantage.
Strong communication, reporting and documentation skills.
Willing to be stationed in Macau for the duration of the project.
