2. Position Summary
  • The primary purpose of this role is to deliver BI & Analytics on business transformation projects using data to provide innovative solutions and insights.

4. Key Responsibilities The fundamental duties & responsibilities of the role are as detailed below –

  • The role is a mixture of development work and data analysis work, interacting daily with many cross-functional teams.
  • Work closely with the business to analyse requirements, and convert these into building and implementing solutions using the Microsoft BI stack.
  • Support the business with detailed data analysis providing insights and recommended actions based on insights.
  • Provide overnight support and maintenance of the BI system on a rota basis.
  • Maintain and providing BAU support to the business on the current platform.
5. Skills and Experience (include qualifications, if appropriate)  

•             Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.

•             Ability to analyse data and confidently present findings and insights to non-technical users.

•             Skills to manage project workload in a fast-paced and agile environment.

•             Be outcome driven with excellent problem-solving skills.

•             5yrs experience managing BI projects, analysis, design, development, testing and implementation.

•             Broad enterprise wide understanding of business processes, such as:

  • Sales & Margin
  • Pricing
  • Finance
  • PnL
  • HR
  • Inventory
  • Customer
  • Supply Chain etc…
Technical Skills:

  • DAX querying
  • Power BI reporting and visualisation
  • Data Warehousing Architecture Design and Theory
  • SQL Server DB Development
  • Advanced T-SQL querying
  • SSIS ETL Package design
  • SSAS Tabular and Multi-dimensional
  • SSRS Reports/Dashboards/Scorecards/Subscriptions
