Apply: Principal/ Lead Business Analyst - Information and Analytics

Ethos Beathchapman in partnership with one of our key financial services clients is currently a Lead/ Principle Senior Business Analyst to work on a range of analytics and business intelligence projects. 

The vision is to be the leading information and analytics team in Australian banking, by market and customer reputation.

There are two key aspects to this role. Firstly, you will be leading a team of business analysts that works closely with our business partners to deliver changes for our banker’s scorecards and business performance reporting.

Secondly, you will help contribute to the development of the business analyst capability through coaching, mentoring and driving initiatives that help make the environment a great place to work for our business analysts. 

Responsibliieis include:

• Engage and manage business and technology stakeholders across the project delivery lifecycle
• Assist in the development of business communications and change management materials
• Identify and drive initiatives that support on-going uplift across the business analyst capability and continue to make every day a great place to work for our business analysts
• Understand and adhere to project delivery methodologies and processes 
• Contribute to the effective management of both project and operational risks
• Plan and execute business analysis activities and user acceptance testing
• Lead business analysts to elicit and analyse requirements
• Lead prioritisation activities for scope and requirements 
• Lead user acceptance testing
• Ensure that all BA project deliverables are consistently of a high quality 
• Support business case development and benefits realisation activities
• Project delivery:  
• Support the project manager to plan, prioritise and execute the project
• Support technology partners during solution design, build and testing activities

Knowledge:

• Demonstrated ability to coach individuals and groups to demonstrate personal accountability for both outcomes and corrective actions where obligations have not been met 
• Demonstrated problem solving skills; coach others in identifying effective and efficient activities to understand a problem and the recommended solutions 
• Working knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall project delivery methodology
• Coach the team on how to use defined templates and implement best practice processes to improve quality and productivity

Experience:

• At least 6 years of experience in BA, Senior BA / Lead BA roles
• At least 3 years of experience in banking as a business analyst or equivalent complex environment.
• Demonstrated experience across all areas described in the position requirements for the role
• Agile experience preferably SCRUM
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence toolsets
• Background in business intelligence / reporting projects

The salary on of includes $160 000 + Super + Benefits
