In this role, you will enhance the range, in-store customer experience & maximise the return on space by:  
  • Use data, insights, and research to identify key strategic range and space priorities for our stores
  • Support the direction of the macro space allocation on all floorplans, ensuring category flows and adjacency principles are followed
  • Analysis of customer and sales data to build demographic & geographic range profiles  
  • Support micro space planners on range review schedules to macro / micro space planning to ensure synergy in workflow 
  • Financially model space, sales, and profit implications for all significant space allocation changes, including clear recommendations
  • Work with the Store Design Team to review relevant project fixture plans, ensuring layout is based on data insights and the right space has been allocated by department as well as the overall business direction.
  • Contribute towards creating customer-focused floor plans, optimising space and range allocation across departments and categories
  • Assist in the analysis of major space optimisation projects, ensuring most efficient use of store footprint is captured. 
 
To be successful in this role: 
  • 1 – 2 years in a Buyers Assistant role or similar
  • Knowledge in using datasets, building reports and the ability to analyse and determine performance value
  • Strong analysis skills
  • Previous experience or thorough understanding of Spaceman, CAD, or similar program advantageous
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications required
  • Experience working with customer and market insights beneficial
  • Retail store experience desirable
  • Excellent planning and organisational abilities with strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Adaptable to changing work conditions
