Ignition Automation E&IC Water/Wastewater Engineer

This role is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Joining a successful International Water Technologies firm, working with the regional teams and to grow with them and their strong project pipelines. To help develop and implement Ignition remote O&M datalogging and reporting platform, building this system up from scratch and maintaining it after.

To be able to support design and deployment projects by organizing control systems for end-to-end automated water treatment plants.

Responsibilities of Ignition Automation E&IC Water/Wastewater Engineer

Carrying out project requirements and specifications, designing controls systems architecture, development of PLC process code, HMI screens, SCADA systems and remote monitoring and data collection systems.
Assist with the set-up and maintenance of the remote O&M platform using Ignition software
Develop Ignition standard codes, libraries and templates and SQL databases to provide additional features such as CMMS, asset management, inventory control, advanced alarms management, machine learning and integration with Jedox and Salesforce
Design of control systems architecture for projects, Develop control systems design documentation including network topology diagram, functional descriptions, state transition diagrams, logic diagrams etc.
Troubleshoot remotely and onsite instrumentation and control system issues, proposed solutions and undertake rectification works on approval
Training of internal and customer personnel on use of HMI and SCADA interfaces

Requirements of Ignition Automation E&IC Water/Wastewater Engineer

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering: Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation & Control, Automation, Industrial or Computer Systems
Experience in Ignition Projects or holding Ignition Core/Gold Certification is a MUST
5years min. in an automation & controls environment is required + experience in the water/wastewater industry
Proficiency in AutoCAD & Programming of PLC (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Schneider), HMI and SCADA systems.
Required Coding skills: Python, SQL (must have), HTML, Javascript
Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Devicenet, MQTT etc.
