The Director of Professional Services oversees end-to-end implementation activities for a dedicated team within the Professional Services Organization. Partners with Sales and R&D to drive the success of Professional Services opportunities for new & existing clients. Ensures assigned projects are completed on time and within budget to meet clients' needs. The Director is accountable for the delivery of multiple, simultaneous, highly complex software implementation projects. Directs the team and actively participates on client projects requiring senior consulting leadership experience.
Responsibility

• Develops and manages pipeline of Professional Services opportunities to drive demand and project backlog for team.
• Partners with sales to position the value-driven approach and methodology of the Professional Services offering
• Ensures implementation projects are completed on time and within budget with appropriate resource planning.
• Together with senior management, directs the identification of practice and process improvement initiatives and the development of strategies for optimizing implementation.
• Partners with senior leadership within Professional Services to define team initiatives, priorities, and project budgeting.
• Leads and mentors others within Professional Services in estimation and prioritization, as well as resource and project planning and execution.
• Acts as advisor to program team regarding projects, tasks, and operations.
• Directs project/program risk management strategies.
• Ensures identification of issues / problems that have impact within and across projects and oversees their resolution.
• Serves as project sponsor and represents the organisation in meetings with client executive management.
• Collaborates with business unit partners and senior technical leadership to contribute to strategic planning initiatives and directs the development of program roadmaps to support their strategic direction.
• Directs the facilitation of cross-functional teams to develop strategic plans for future projects.
• Initially supervises project teams that serve existing client projects with opportunity to expand over time.

Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related field (equivalent experience will also be considered).
• Min 3 years leading a professional services team with ownership of P&L
• Min 7 years of experience in a role or roles that required high-level project management skills supported by a proven track record of delivery
• Experience working in System integrator or Software technology organisation is essential
• Proven track record in managing multiple clients, collaboratively and effectively prioritizing work schedules based upon business and corporate goals, and proposing viable options and recommended solutions to address business needs
• Strong business acumen and leadership experience - proven track record of acting as a valued business partner to senior leadership
• Able to influence the scope and management of initiatives across organizational boundaries
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with team participants, business stakeholders, and Senior Management across organizational boundaries, and lead cross-functional teams
• Ability to effectively synthesize information, clearly articulate relevant details to appropriate project members, and consistently communicate with all project stakeholders
• Strong track record of setting client and team expectations and holding clients and internal teams accountable
• Project / Program Management PMI certification is a plus.
• Travel required 40-50% plus to client sites
