Description
 
The business services accountant will be responsible for:  
  • Preparation of accounts & tax returns to review stage
  • Perform compliance obligations, payroll tax, land tax, fringe benefit tax, stamp duty & ASIC requirements and prepare tax returns
  • Preparing memorandum to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Prepare quarterly BAS statements and IAS returns
  • Support management with workers compensation returns
  • Mentor junior team members 
 
 
Profile
 
The ideal candidate will have: 
  • 4+ years’ experience in a professional firm
  • Tertiary degree in an accounting or related degree and completion of CA/CPA
  • Experience completing financial statements, income tax returns, business activity statements and fringe benefits tax returns
  • Experience working to a budget and meeting productivity targets
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and competing demands
  • Experience in a similar business services role
