About the Role:
Are you an experienced risk and assurance professional looking to step into a strategic role within a highly regarded financial services organization? We are recruiting for a client seeking a Risk Assurance & Advisory Manager focused on delivering high-impact reviews and generating insights on risk control effectiveness. This role offers you the chance to work across divisions, assess control frameworks, and engage with senior stakeholders to maintain the organization’s regulatory compliance and risk assurance standards.

What You’ll Do:
In this role, you’ll be part of a collaborative team of risk professionals responsible for executing assurance reviews, assessing controls for design and effectiveness, and conducting rigorous testing and reporting. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting risk reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of controls in line with internal standards and regulatory obligations.
• Engaging with cross-functional stakeholders, including internal audit and risk management teams, to ensure risk insights are communicated and issues are addressed effectively.
• Completing reviews and documentation to a high standard, ensuring timely identification, reporting, and remediation of risk-related issues.
• Continuously improving risk review and testing approaches to enhance the value of assurance activities.

What We’re Looking For:
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

• 4+ years of experience in risk assurance, audit, or advisory roles, ideally with exposure to credit,operational, market or technology risk.
• Strong communication skills with a demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and build collaborative relationships across teams.
• Proficiency in analyzing regulatory and compliance requirements in a financial services environment.
• Experience with data analytics or technology audits is beneficial but not essential.
• A proactive, adaptable approach with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
