Role Summary:

We are interested in speaking to determined, self motivated and commercial minded Compliance (or Legal) professionals. A pipeline of roles are being created in the 2nd LoD at a Big4 Australian bank, to provide compliance oversight, advice, sign-off and/or reporting for Consumer / Business Bank products and services, digital campaigns, distributions, projects and/or regulatory change initiatives.

Some of your day-to-day responsibilities could be: 
  • Provide proactive and reliable compliance advice regarding as the 2nd LoD for Consumer / Business Bank products and services, digital campaigns, distributions, projects and/or regulatory changes
  • Review marketing materials (such as posters, banners, scripts etc.) in both physical and digital forms and sign off high volume marketing creatives and assets adhering to Group Strategy & RG 234
  • Perform compliance assessments to identify immediate and emerging risks and develop a framework for incidents management and on-going monitoring
  • Promote a rigorous, forward-thinking and practical approach to the Group's Risk & Compliance Framework
  • Run workshops and compliance training to share learning and best practice to both the Business and the Risk & Compliance teams
  • Effectively partner up with the 1st LoD risk and assurance teams to support upcoming business agenda
  • Lead the implementation of an effective compliance framework and operating model within Bank Compliance, contributing to the team credibility

Skill Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of recent compliance or legal experience in Financial Services or consulting firms
  • Degree qualified in Business, Finance, Legal, Accounting or Marketing
  • Pragmatic operator who can thrive in a highly dynamic commercial environment and to get their hands dirty
  • Can think on your feet in the best interest for the business yet whilst remaining a strong compliance mindset
  • Strong project management and stakeholder influencing skills, and do not shy away from engaging the business face-to-face
  • Knowledge of NCCP, ACL/AFSL requirements, Corporations Act, BCoP, Privacy Act and RG 234 etc. are desirable
