Apply: Compliance Counsel (5+ PQE)

My client is a renowned Engineering and Technology MNC with a strong footprint in the South East Asia (SEA) region. They are presently recruiting for a Compliance Counsel to join their team in Singapore.

In this role, you will be responsible for the monitoring and controls of the company's compliance programs and measures across SEA. This includes, but not limited to, providing internal compliance training and support to various business functions and senior management regularly to ensure that the practices adhere to the respective guidelines and regulations in the different regions. You will also be responsible for the Corporate compliance measures pertaining to any corporate transactions within the firm, ensuring regulatory compliance, and identifying possible risk associated within their business operations. You will also look into any ongoing investigations and propose the relevant guidelines for the business.

Candidates with prior experience in implementing compliance measures/internal monitoring and controls programs, as well as knowledge of SEA jurisdictions will be viewed favourably.

Requirements:

• Qualified Lawyer; Called to Singapore/Malaysia Bar
• 5+ PQE, gained from a local/international law firm
• Candidates straight from private practice will be considered too
• Priority would be given to candidates with litigation/investigations/compliance experience
• Meticulous and detail-oriented
• Strong stakeholder management skills
