Apply: Technical Lead | Contract Role

As part of a major initiative to introduce new technology into an existing legacy environment, this major enterprise organisation is looking to engage a Technical Lead to drive the solution and technical deliverables from internal and external developer teams, as well as ensure the implementation of the solution aligns with the business requirements and agreed solution architecture.

You will play a key role in ensuring the chosen Vendor solution aligns with the needs of the business and act as a Scrum Master to drive the development following Agile methodology and processes.
You will be required to lead discussions, arrange workshops and produce reports and findings to senior stakeholders to ensure that all parties involved are fully informed and aligning to the same goal and deliverable timelines.

This is a highly-visible and high-profile piece of work, which will see your skills recognised and rewarded with future programs and projects of work.

What we're looking for:

• Demonstrable previous experience in a similar Tech Lead role, ideally coordinating deliverables of internal and external development teams.
• Demonstrable experience working across application architecture, integration and working to formal application development methodologies.
• Experience in running analysis and researching, evaluating and recommending new and emerging technologies.
• Experience taking a lead technical role on a program and engaging with senior stakeholders across varying business units.
• Experience working in multi-layered technology environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to drive outcomes through negotiation and influencing.
• Exposure to working in an Agile / Scrum environment desirable.
• Relevant Tertiary qualification in Computer Science / Information Technology
• Background in Java development
• Exposure to working in DevOps / CI/CD environment - Jira / Confluence / Bitbucket, etc.
• Experience using reporting tools, such as Tableau / Power BI / SAP Business Objects
