Our client is looking for a Data and BI Architect to join their dynamic team. Reporting to the CTO, you will be a key player in defining and delivering scalable data solutions and enterprise data models across various business applications, reporting, and analytics domains.

 
Responsibilities:
 
As the Data and BI Architect, you will collaborate closely with the Enterprise Architect, BI Analysts, Application and Data owners. Your primary responsibility is to take charge of the global data design and modelling activities, establishing robust dictionaries, data integration documentation, migration mapping, and master/reference data landscapes within existing architecture and transformational initiatives.
 

• Data Flow Accountability: Ensuring the smooth flow of data through source systems, ERPs, and various platforms.
• Target Data Architecture Design: Create scalable environments, well-defined artifacts, data and interface catalogs, lineages, procedures, and standards for seamless end-to-end orchestration and continuous delivery.
• Business Analysis/Requirements Capture: Guide the translation of business processes into physical data models, ensuring scalability and extensibility.
• Data Platform Capabilities: Define capabilities aligned with current and future business models during business and technology transformation activities.
• Data Integration Oversight: Lead data integration design and delivery initiatives for structured and semi-structured data on-premises and in the cloud.
• Data Modeling Expertise: Understand data modeling in both OLTP and OLAP applications, particularly in manufacturing and supply chain management.
• Documentation: Create comprehensive technical documentation for proposed technology solutions and components.
• Data Environment Rationalization: Standardize, streamline, and simplify the current data landscape.
• Focal Point for Data Solution Architecture: Act as the primary contact for data solution architecture, facilitating communication between data owners and BI analysts.
• Relationship Building: Forge strong relationships with teams and stakeholders to enable effective cross-departmental communication.

 

Requirements:
 

• Bachelor's degree in IT, MIS, Data Science, or Certification in Data Architecture/Data Engineering.
• Ideally 7 + years of experience in data architecture or a related field.
• Experience with hi-performing global data warehouses and data marts using MS Azure data components (e.g., Data Factory, Azure Data Lake).
• Proficiency in data environments, technologies, BI stacks, ETL, and data visualization tools (e.g., SQL Server, SQL Management Studio, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, PowerBI).
• Proven experience in delivering end-to-end cloud data platform solutions using modern agile methodologies, data pipelines, serverless orchestration, and CI/CD development processes.
• Agile and DevOps mindset.
• Excellent engagement with senior stakeholders, translating business drivers and requirements into data models and solution design.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, database, and data warehouse design principles.
• Familiarity with data governance and security best practices.
• Exceptional customer-facing, presentation, and influencing skills.
• Capacity to train and guide other team members and business teams on data literacy best practices.
• Efficient task management and prioritization skills.
• Strong third-party and stakeholder management.
