About the role: We’re looking for an experienced Warehouse Assistant to join our Truganina Warehouse team.

Your daily duties will involve but will not be limited to:

Supervise a medium sized warehouse team (15-20) and assist the day to day running of the warehouse operations, with specific focus on receipting, picking, and the timely dispatching of goods
To attend the Health and Safety meetings and appropriate Management meetings to support the business in terms of quality, health and safety and delivery to our retail stores and customers
Instill a culture of continuous improvement within the team. Implementing lean tools and training your team.
When necessary take on the responsibilities of the inventory controller. Including performing cycle counts and updating the inventory in the ERP (PRONTO), organising transport for delivery of finished goods and completing the necessary transactions in the ERP system
To manage the standard operating procedures to meet planned KPIs (Key performance indicators) and ensure they are regularly reviewed and updated
To train/retrain new and existing team members and Retailers following a robust induction and assessment program.
Ensure the health and safety of your team is maintained at all times and that the working practices of the team comply with the Company disciplines and mandatory requirements of HS&E policies.

Our PURRfect PETstock person will have:

Must have experience in a warehouse supervisory role in any of the above operational areas
Ability to inspire staff and keep them motivated
Focus on the customer, and have can do attitude
Experience within the retail industry (desirable) or similar industry
Strong leadership, management & verbal communication skills
Capacity to improve warehouse efficiency's and make day to day processes better
Have experience in carton and pallet operations
Strong inventory management skills
Excellent computer skills, with exposure to WMS (PRONTO desirable) or relevant WMS RF warehousing systems
