We are looking for an Associate Editor who is a passionate content creator with proven excellence in reporting, design or forecasting, showcasing future signs of brilliance to join our Kidswear team.
 
 
Main responsibilities:
 
  • Contribution to trends research and analysis with direction from Senior Editor and/or Editor in the creation and publication of reports across; Boys, Girls and Baby categories
  • Contribution to the creation of original apparel design for Boys, Girls and Baby categories
  • Creation of CADS
  • Responsible for the creation of written trend analysis reports covering both emerging and commercial global and regional trends
  • Will actively contribute to the content for WGSN Trend Days in collaboration with the Kidswear team
  • Collaborate and support the Kidswear team on wider content projects as and when required
  • Contribute content for WGSN’s social media platforms
  • Liaises across the Editorial team and key functions to educate on the scheduling of published reports, ensuring clear communication of what/when/how
  • Contribution to overall content team objectives and accountable for specific personal content goals
  • Takes a proactive approach to identify and compile a list of viable freelancers to engage as and when required to create content
  • Travel globally for industry events such as trades shows
 
Desired Skills and Experience
 
 
  • Good knowledge of the global market and commercial trends across fashion and lifestyle product areas with the ability to pin-point trends that will impact the Kidswear market
  • Demonstrable experience of writing, editing and reporting gained from education and/or working within creative industries
  • A comprehensive portfolio of original design concepts and CAD design, expressing your ability across Boys, Girls and Baby categories
  • A proven ability to sketch and CAD, with good Adobe illustrator skills
  • Proven quality of research and personal output
  • Ability to take ownership of personal assignments, prioritise workload and provide support to other members of team when needed
  • Good organisation, communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work within an international team to ensure production standards, reports or outputs are of a consistently high standard and published on time and to budget.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with Global Sales, Client Services and Marketing to help facilitate sales and client engagement where appropriate
  • A strong understanding of the role data and analytics plays in commercial success
