Basic Objective & Purpose of the Job: 

Field Application Engineer is responsible for driving design wins by technically supporting customers and sales. The primary goals are 1) Find new business opportunities, 2) Support and close the NBOs, 3) Identify NPD projects and work with global teams to get products developed in a timely manner, 4) Introduce New Product into Japan Market.

FAE is required to understand the applications for the products and its related requirements coming from customers and regulatory. FAE also acts as the main interface between customers and global team, such as product manager, application/design engineering, in terms of technical matters.


Essential Job Functions or Core Job Responsibilities:

• Work with customers to win the business by providing effective solutions/products to meet the customers' needs/requirements
• Communicates with global team to drive NBO closing and new product development
• Drive and track key NBO / top opportunities with regional sales team's joint efforts
• Coordinate product qualifications for customers through communication with pertinent factory, product marketing team and account sales team.
• Conduct product application seminars and training for key customers and distribution channels

Education Requirements:

MS or BS degree in Engineering or equivalent


Experience/Skills /Competencies Requirements:

5+ years of experience in electronic device market and familiar with its application, ideally experienced with electronic system design and/or new products/applications development.
Good communication skills in the local as well as English languages for the smooth/efficient information exchange with customers and global team.


Accountability/ Scope:

• Frequent travels locally and offshore per biz requirement
• Share the common goals with regional sales team for budget and incentive
