A fast-growing SME lending company is looking for a Manager, Special Asset Management (SAM) to join their existing risk team in supporting providing expertise on NPL portfolios. To succeed in this role, you need to have sound credit risk and SAM knowledge in the banking industry and able to work independently to make prudent decisions.
 
Main Responsibilities:

• Managing a portfolio of NPL accounts and providing stakeholders with strategy to manage and recover weak credits
• Formulating loan recovery plans and working with insolvency practitioners i.e. lawyers, accountants etc
• Preparing restructuring proposals and conducting risk assessment of these accounts
• Supporting the existing risk team in credit matters, factoring audits and compliance issues
• Ensuring workflows and risk frameworks are aligned with business strategies

 
You will have:

• At least 7 years of experience in a risk management role with a combination of experience in credit risk and SAM
• Solid knowledge of NPL portfolios and worked within a recovery unit within the bank
• Self-driven and independent
• Experienced in SME lending space
