Responsibilities
  • Development of statistical models and process
  • Specialised programming, systems architecture and engineering for the development of the in-house modelling platform (utilising JAVA, Matlab).
  • Working with IT to find and implement solutions that supports the use and ongoing development of the models across the Actuarial & Investment functions
  • Ability to champion the modelling platform in terms of leading the design, execution and future improvement and enhancement
Requirements
  • 5 years of experiences in Java development
  • Deep understanding of statistical modelling theory
  • Experiences and knowledge of the financial services industry, quantitative finance and/or actuarial technique.
  • Understanding of an experiences in structured products guarantees and derivatives or pricing, profit and capital reporting will be advantages.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT and/or a business degree, including qualification in quantitative finance.
  • Other applicable post graduate studies (e.g. completed PHD (Maths/Comp.Sci/Physics or Engineering) or CFA charter, Fellowship of the Institute of Actuaries).
